Fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and agent Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) are back and they’re feuding as usual. They have to set their differences aside and learn to trust each other, however, as they confront and try to outmaneuver a shared enemy. These two men will find the best way to get revenge, that is, by pushing the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

- This movie is an interquel set between the second and third movies.
- Sun Kang, who appeared in Tokyo Drift, is set to appear in the film to reprise as Han.
- A 20-minute prequel directed by Vin Diesel and focusing on Dom (Diesel) and Letty (Rodriguez), and also introducing the character Han (Kang), was filmed in the Dominican Republic during the Summer of 2008. This prequel is said to establish what happened to these characters after the first film, The Fast and the Furious.
