The supposed Philippine concert of international pop star Katy Perry this coming October 3 was postponed due to Typhoon Ondoy.

Instead of the originally set Katy concert, MTV Philippines (producer of “Katy Perry Live in Manila”) is now planning to hold a benefit concert with American Idol runner-up David Archuleta and Boys Like Girls joining Katy.

The net proceeds of the benefit concert will go to the Philippine Red Cross, in support of the Ondoy victims. There are no final confirmation as of yet,

Fox announced last Wednesday that comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul as judge in season nine of American Idol.

The final battle between Acoustic Rocker Kris Allen and Glam Rocker Adam Lambert for the American Idol Season 8 title yielded almost 100 million votes nationwide. This event will be the second project of Fearless Productions, co-owned by actor Jomari Yllana and the Singson Brothers, following their success on the Pops-Martin reunion concert. Tentative venue for the much-anticipated concert is the SM Mall of Asia open grounds and target schedule is by 1st or 2nd week of May.
