2009 MTV Movie Awards Winners
Twilight emerged as the biggest winner at the MTV Movie Awards held on Sunday, May 31, but a stunt involving Sacha Baron Cohen (dressed as Bruno, which is also the title of his upcoming film) and Eminem stole the live show. Some other highlights also include host Andy Samberg opening the show with a short skit with Justin Timberlake; previews of upcoming blockbuster movies Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince and New Moon; LeAnn Rimes and Chris Isaak’s duet (with a guest appearance from Forest Whitaker); and Kiefer Sutherland’s weepy tribute to Ben Stiller.
MGM and Farrelly Brothers of ‘There’s Something About Mary’ fame have chosen their cast for the upcoming film The Three Stooges and quite unlikely names were attached to the starring roles. Oscar winner Sean Penn has already signed on to star as Larry Fine. On the other hand, negotiations are underway with Jim Carrey to play Jerome “Curly” Howard and Benicio del Torro for the role of the trio’s slapstick leader Moe Howard.
